Jaipur: Rajasthan Minister of State for Khadi Industries Golma Devi along with her husband and Member of Parliament Dr Kirorie Lal Meena have sat on dharna against lawlessness and corruption in the state.

Golma said that due to corruption and irregularities she had submitted her resignation, which was not accepted. The tribals are forced to survive on flesh of dead animals and leaves owing to the apathy of the state government, she added.

Advising Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, she said that he should take action against the corrupt ministers and also do justice to the tribals.

Extending support to Anna Hazare, MP Kirorie Lal Meena said, “We are also determined to fight against corruption, that’s why we are sitting on a dharna.”

Meena said that we wanted to hold a rally in Udaipur on Thursday to highlight the plight of tribals, but the government arrested him a day earlier to his rally.

The dharna has hit many parts of state including the capital Jaipur. Districts like Dausa, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur and Alwar have also witnessed the protest.
