Lucknow: A Group of Ministers (GoM) headed by Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister Anand Singh has been set up to review the industrial investment promotion scheme implemented by then Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav in 2006.

Minister for Zoological Gardens Shiv Pratap Yadav and Protocol Minister Abhishek Mishra have been appointed as members of the GoMs.

The investment scheme was called off by former Chief Minister Mayawati in 2007. Reportedly, the GoMs would also review the decision of BSP government scrapping the SP government decision.

Mulayam Singh government had given some benefits to the investors to invest over Rs 100 cr in the state.  The letter of comfort had been issued to 11 investors. Following which, these investors had set up their firms.

Irked over the decision, these investors approached the court which has asked the SP government whether the scheme will be revived or the 11 investors will be given benefit.
