New Delhi: Here is a piece of good news for the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) aspirants 2012. Making a unique introduction, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) that conducts the country’s premium engineering entrance test is going to provide the candidates with scanned images of their OMR answer sheets, hence, making the process more transparent and student friendly.

The candidates who opted the entrance tests from both online and offline mode can view their answer books on the website:

The CBSE has also made the provision for the offline exam candidates of challenging the recorded responses if they differ from the one they had marked on the OMR sheet. For availing the facility, the offline candidates require to submit their request in person at CBSE regional offices along with a fee of Rs 500. The fee, however, is refundable incase the candidate is found correct.

In case of students who gave their exam through online mode, no challenge in this case is available as the option shown is the same as clicked by the candidate. They can download the papers they received along with options clicked by them.

The results are awaited by the CBSE. As per the official CBSE website, the results are expected to come out on June 15.

Over 11 lakh students have appeared in the AIEEE-2012 on April 29 (offline mode) and May 7, 12, 19 and 26.(online mode) to seek admissions in country’s premium engineering institutes including National Institutes of Technology, IIITs, Deemed Universities, Technical Institutions, Delhi Technological University, Delhi and other government funded Institutions

After the country’s prestigious and toughest engineering examination ‘Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE)’, AIEEE is believed to be the second resort for the enthusiastic students looking forward to opt engineering as their career.
