According to the revelation, the most expensive component of the Google Glass is TI’s OMAP 4430 applications processor. This uses technology licensed for ARM Holdings.

The Google Glass is a pair of eyeglasses without the lenses but with a small rectangular transparent screen near the right eye that functions as a tiny computer screen. A mouse is built into the right arm of the frame. It can record video, access email, and retrieve information from the Web by connecting wirelessly to a user's cell phone.

Many believe wearable computers such as Google Glass represents the next big shift in technology, just as smartphones evolved from personal computers.
