“Great meeting #BinLin, @hbarra from @xiaomi Amazed to learn how a business can be re-invented - India smartphone landscape will change!,” tweeted Rajan Anandan. Anandan tweeted this in conversation with Xiaomi co-founder Bin Lin and Xiaomi's global vice-president Hugo Barra.

Barra has reportedly clarified that the company has no plans to build devices based on Firefox or Ubuntu OS. As per reports, he also said that Xiaomi is planning to enter India and associate with telecos in the country.

Xiaomi's cheap yet sleek phones are popular in China, where Samsung Electronics remains the market leader.
