New Delhi: In an interesting revelation in the Geetika Sharma case, former Haryana minister Gopal Kanda wanted to plunge the deceased airhostess into politics. A video has surfaced showing both Kanda and Geetika participating in the election campaign in Sirsa.

Apart from Geetika, comedian Saloni and Bharati and bollywood actor Rati Agnihotri are also in that video. Kanda and Geetika shared the dais in the election campaign in Sirsa.

In the police interrogation, Kanda said that the charges are politically motivated. Kanda demanded separate vehicle for his visits to the court from jail as he feared a "blade attack" if he travels in the common jail van. Late the court directed officials to make available separate vehicle for Kanda.

In her suicide note, Geetika had alleged that Kanda and one of the MDLR employees Aruna Chaddha were harassing her to rejoin the former minister's firm after she left the job. Kanda's employee, Aruna Chaddha, a senior functionary with now defunct MDLR airlines, arrested on August 8 is also in judicial custody in connection with the suicide of 23-year-old air hostess Geetika Sharma.
