New Delhi: Eyebrows have constantly been raised over the safety of electronic goods imported from china. Due to which the government is shifting its focus towards indigenous products. The cabinet while purchasing has decided to give priority to home made products. In the next five years the government is aiming to buy 45 percent of indigenous products every year.

In the last few years Chinese products have spread throughout the Indian market. Few months back national security advisor had raised an alarm with the government over safety of imported electronic goods. To tackle this problem, the government has approved the proposal of promoting indigenous products. It has set itself a time frame of 5 years to achieve this target. In the first year the government plans to buy 25 percent of home made products which will go upto 45 percent in next 4 years.
