Kolkata: The state government plans to supply discounted medicines by opening new shops in the government edifices. Health Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya enlightened about the state governments’ plan while inaugurating the annual program of Confederation of Indian Industry.

She said that the participation of the private sector is much needed to improve the health services in the state. Particularly in the rural areas where 73 percent of the total population depends on government for medical aid. The minister also said that substantial improvement in the health sector is the top priority of the state government.
In the upcoming days, Government will come up with shops in government edifices to supply the discounted medicines in the state.
