New Delhi: The Delhi government on Wednesday filed its reply before the Delhi High Court in regard to sexual exploitation of children.

In its reply, the Women and Child Development Department of the state government said that a Special Committee is preparing guidelines in this direction.

The bench of Chief Justice D Murugesan and Justice Rajiv Sahai have scheduled the next hearing in the case for February 13.

Suchi Sehgal, Director of Child Protection Unit, Delhi, said in the affidavit filed before the High Court, that the government has initiated a State Child Protection Unit to prevent sexual exploitation of children. The unit co-ordinates with other organizations such as NGOs in order to prevent sexual abuse of minors.

The affidavit also states that a special panel has been formed to prepare guidelines in this regard which will soon submit its report before the High Court.
