New Delhi:  A delegation of senior officers of Armed Forces from National Defence College (NDC) on Monday met Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and discussed a number of issues related to national interest.

The 22 senior officers of NDC were in the state capital Ahmedabad on a study tour.

During his meeting with the officers, Modi regretted the vote bank politics and said ‘In the present democratic system of governance, rulers have a duty towards the nation and they ought to follow a policy of ‘zero tolerance’ towards terrorism’.

While discussing the success story of Gujarat, the Chief Minister said, ‘Development is no more a political agenda but a people’s agenda’.

The officers, led by Commandant Vice-Admiral Sunil Lamba, also lauded Modi and welcomed his concept of ‘India First’ in the context of national interest.
