New Delhi: In a bid to look after projects which are left in limbo in the constituencies where MPs have been changed after elections, Government is planning to prepare a project model for the Members of Parliament which would suggest them ways to complete the pending project work left by their predecessors.
Ministry of Statistics and Programme implementation has fixed the 15- month deadline for the completion of the projects which are incomplete or left mid-way.
“It is because of delay in implementation, nation is facing huge financial loss. We have drafted a model for different pending projects began during the tenure of former MPs but are still incomplete.” said Shrikant Jena, MoS Statistics and Programme implementation adding that his ministry will not be satisfied by merely gathering the figures of such projects left mid-way.
Projects worth crores have been reportedly pending or unfinished across the nation. Hence MPs will be requested to firstly ensure the implementation of work left incomplete by their predecessors using MP fund.
