New Delhi: The Central Government is trying hard to get passed key education reform bills in the Parliament. Human Resources Development Minister MM Pallam Raju has held several rounds of meeting with Opposition leaders to arrive at consensus on it.

The Treasury Bench wants to solve Opposition’s complaints over key education bills. MM Pallam Raju on Tuesday apprised Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj of pending legislations.

The HRD Minister said, “The Standing Committee has already submitted its report on the bills in which the government has also made required amendment.”

In this context, the Parliament should pass the bills, added Raju. The HRD Minister also met BJP MP Kirti Azad who expressed reservations over some of the provisions in the bills during the previous session in the LS.

Raju’s main priority is to get passed the Educational Tribunal Bill with some amendments in the Parliament. It has been pending in the Rajya Sabha for the last three years.
