Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government has decided to bring certain changes in the Nutrition Delivery System in the wake of several complaints against it. On the directions from the Minister, officers are busy in preparing the work plan for it.

Under the new system, instead of 25 kg now only 1kg packet will be sent to the Anganwadi Centres. If any packet caught sold illegally in the open market, then action would be taken against the accused. Ration cards of registered children, teenage girls, and pregnant women will be prepared and their report will be registered on each working day.

According to sources, it was proposed earlier but effective process of its implementation has now started. Total 249.18 million beneficiaries are enrolled in Anganwadi.
