According to reports, the court adjourned the hearing until 5th March.The case is related to the controversial appointment of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority's former chairman Tauqeer Sadiq.

During the hearing, Gilani's counsel submitted an exemption application on security concerns, which was accepted on 24th January.

The National Accountability Bureau, the apex anti-corruption organization in Pakistan, filed a reference over the appointment of Tauqeer Sadiq as chairman against the two former prime ministers of the Pakistan People’s Party-led government in the court.

The National Accountability Bureau also filed a supplementary reference in the court in a case pertaining to Rs 82 billion corruption committed in the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority.
