Greater Noida: Greater Noida Authority has started implementing the orders released by the Allahabad High Court, regarding the land compensation to be extended to the farmers of Greater Noida.

The Authority officials visited the villages on Friday and prepared a list of farmers to whom the compensation is to be extended.  Altogether 38 farmers will get a bigger amount as compensation.

Six villages have been selected in the first phase for this purpose. After the conclusion of three-day campaign in these villages, six more villages will be selected for giving compensation.

In order to give 64 percent extra compensation, the Authority will have to shell out Rs 5000 crore approximately. Greater Noida Authority has applied for loans in different banks for this purpose.

A meeting held on Wednesday between Rural Engineering Minister, Thakur Jaivir Singh and MP Surendra Singh Nagar in this regard. The farmers decided not to take the case to the Supreme Court.

Distribution of the compensation will be done through camps which will be stationed in the villages after the Authority completes the paper work.

In the first phase six villages; Bisrakh, Aminabad, Haibatpur, Eteda, Roza Yakubpur and Maycha have been selected.

Yamuna Authority’s response: Before the Allahabad High Court’s hearing on the petitions filed on the village land tribunal takes place, Yamuna Expressway Industrial development authority is gearing up to file a counter reply in order to build a strong case in its favour.
