Greater Noida: In order to ensure proper discipline in the schools in Greater Noida, the disciplinary committee is going to ban the mobile phone usage by the students in the school premises.

Those students who are found to be guilty will have to face deduction in their internal assessment. Their mobile phones will also be seized by the authority.  Almost fifty percent of the schools in Greater Noida have implemented such rules.

In last few years, school going students have developed special likings towards multimedia mobile phones. Students don’t forget to bring their phones to the schools. Its usage has diverted students’ focus from studies. School administration had already shared this problem with the parents in the past but the efforts went in vain.

Students can bring mobile phones in the schools in the exceptional cases, but they will be kept in the possession of teachers. For this, parents are required to send an application seeking permission for their wardens to carry the mobile phones in the school premises.

Parents have already been apprised that if their children visit the schools with mobile phones, the sets will be destroyed. The Managing Director of Easter Public School, Greater Noida, Sidhharth Sharma has said that fifty mobile phones have been seized so far.
