New Delhi: The Gujarat Cabinet has approved the proposal of creating seven new Districts and twenty two new Talukas in the state. This decision was taken in a Cabinet meeting presided over by the Chief Minister.

These promises were made by Narendra Modi last year when he was on a statewide tour.

Meanwhile a high-level committee headed by the Chief Secretary has been formed to decide the geographic scope of the new administrative units.
‘We are not like those who make false promises. In our government, we first take decisions on paper and then implement them’ said Modi after the announcement of new districts and Talukas.
