New Delhi: As the preparation for government formation in Tamil Nadu is in full swing, Gujarat CM Narendra Modi would be one of the prominent guests who would be attending the swearing-in ceremony of Jayalalithaa as the next Chief Minister of the state.

AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa met Governor Surjeet Singh Barnala on Sunday and staked her claim to form the next government.

She will take over the reins of the state for the third time on Monday. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at the Cenetary Hall of Madras University.

All parties have been invited for the swearing-in ceremony. However, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi - long time political friend of Jayalalithaa will be a special guest on her list.

Apart from Modi, CPI general secretary AB Bardhan, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu will also attend the ceremony. However, CPI (M) general secretary Prakash Karat will not be present due to Polit Bureau meeting in New Delhi.
