Patna: Despite having differences in their political agendas, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar’s Nitish Kumar have several similar qualities in terms of leading their respective state and its people.

In an effort to bridge the gap in their principles, BJP ruled Gujarat on Sunday celebrated Bihar Shatabdi Utsav (celebrating 100 years of establishment of Bihar as a separate state) in a grand manner.

Various cultural events were organised in Surat to showcase the composite culture of the state with a view to reinforce the spirit of unity in diversity.

Gujarat Minister Narottambhai Patel, Surat MP Darshanaben Jardosh, Surat Commissioner Manoj Kumar Das, JD(U) MP from Bihar Captain Jainarayan Prasad Nishad, JD(U) leader Santosh Singh were among others to attend the celebration.

On Thursday evening, Nitish Kumar inaugurated the mega event at the historical Gandhi Maidan in Patna.  To celebrate the Bihar Shatabdi Utsav, the state government has organised a series of events across the state.
