Bangalore: The focus may be on the Bangalore teenager Aditi Ashok, who has had a fair amount of success in recent months, but there would be a few other youngsters ready to give her competition at the Usha Southern India Ladies Golf, starting from Tuesday here at the KGA Golf course.

Aditi, the winner of the title in the U-14 section of the Malaysia Open Junior golf less than a week ago, will be teeing off with Tvesa Malik, another promising teenager and Nanaki Chadha.

Among the other groups to watch out for will be Vani Kapoor, Sehar Atwal and Anisha Padukone, who like Aditi has played in some of the pro events but with far less success.

Gurbani Singh, who is making a charge for the Order of Merit in the absence of current leader Gauri Monga this week, and Nikita Arjun will also be major factors in the 26-member field in the first of the four regionals.

Aditi, who has been winning a lot of tournaments in the junior circuit, is now looking at making a foray into the seniors, though all the players in this category, too, are essentially teenager.

Gurbani is currently second in Ladies Merit List behind Gauri Monga and also second in Junior Girls A, where the leader is Aditi Ashok.
