Gurgaon: Ravneet Garg, chief judicial magistrate (CJM) of Gurgaon, was booked for the murder of his wife who was found dead with bullet wounds two days ago, police said on Saturday.

Pradeep Aggarwal, brother of the CJM's 24-year-old wife Geetanjali, had lodged a FIR against Garg and his parents under penal provisions for murder and common intent Code, police said.

Geetanjali was found dead with three bullet injuries on Thursday evening and Garg's licensed revolver was found near the body.

Gurgaon Police constituted a special investigation team, headed by an Assistant Commissioner of Police, to probe the case.
    
Earlier, the CJM claimed that his wife had committed suicide while Gitanjali's relative alleged that the CJM was telling a lie.
    
The post mortem report mentioned that one bullet hit her stomach while another bullet hit his chin and pierced though her head. A third bullet was also fired which injured her neck minutely, said the DCP.
