B-town wishes Hrithik on his birthday

The perfect showcase of his acting skills even managed to silent the critics and masses who thought his vestigial thumb as his drawback.

But the journey from a spot boy to a shining star was not a cakewalk for the actor. With an aim to face the camera as a mainstream hero, Hrithik had to toil hard which included taking speech therapy classes to overcome his stammering problem, joining acting classes.

Hrithik’s credit of being such a grounded hero goes to his father Rakesh Roshan, who despite being a star, never allowed stardom to take over his son. This is the reason why Hrithik started his career as a spot boy.

However, as far as his love life is concerned, he had it all easy. Just like a fairy tale love story, Hrithik wedded his childhood sweetheart Suzanne Khan.

The story goes as such that Hrithik and Suzanne used to reside in the same colony when they were kids. One fine day as Suzanne passed by, Hrithik who was standing with his friends, pointed towards her and said to them that he will one day marry the girl. Strangely, Hrithik didn’t know who Suzanne was then.

Proving the adage ‘marriages are made in heaven’ correct, years later Hrithik and Suzanne tied the knot. Their wedding was solemenised in a unique manner. In what could be called as a jugalbandi of marriages, both Islamic and Hindu rituals were conducted in their marriage. The highlight of the evening's party was a live band, flown in for the occasion from New Zealand. In fact, Hrithik and Suzanne always wanted a church wedding.

Hrithik Roshan began his career as a child artist at the age of 6 in the movie "Asha", where he appeared in a dance sequence. He also appeared as child artist in few other films like "Aap Ke Deewane" and "Bhagwan Dada", where his father was in lead role. Before joining films as an actor Hrithik Roshan assisted his father in the production of films like "Karan Arjun" and “Koyla".

Yaadein was his first release in 2001, followed by the melodrama, Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham, which did extremely well at the box office, becoming the second-highest grossing film of 2001 and the then biggest overseas hit.

His ventures like "Fiza", "Mission Kashmir", "Mujhse Dosti Karoge", "Na Tum Jaano Na Hum" and "Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage" did not do well at the box office pushing his career to the doldrums.

After taking a break of nearly two years, Hrithik resurfaced with the superhero film "Krrish, followed by action packed “Dhoom 2”, which was also a blockbuster.

Not just acting, but Hrithik is also known for his dancing capabilities. He even shared the judge’s seat with choreographers Vaibhavi Merchant and Farah Khan in reality talent show ‘Just Dance.’

With doing more than 20 films in a short span of career including Jodhaa Akbar, I See You, Dhoom 2, Krrish, Lakshya, Koi Mil Gaya, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, Mujhse Dosti Karoge, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Yaadein, Mission Kashmir, Fiza, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Bhagwan Dada and Aasha, Hrithik has earned accolades from both critics and audiences.

The actor who is blessed with the looks of a Greek God and an enticing combination of star quality, is all set to enthrall audiences with his upcoming release ‘Agneepath’ scheduled for release on January 26.

Hrithik Roshan aka Duggu was crazy about body building. Duggu is a very shy person when it comes to talking about his personal life.

Heartiest wishes to Hrithik Roshan on his birthday from Jagranpost team.
