The entire team of the film seems to be excited to perform in US in front of a large audience. Megastar Shah Rukh Khan posted his selfie from the flight on Twitter and wrote, “The SLAM has taken off. See you Houston. Will catch up with some much needed sleep...or should I watch a film??” Actor Sonu Sood also tweeted with a picture of himself and his co-actor Boman Irani saying, “USA ... Here we come. Can't wait to see u all...#slam #HNY.” Director Farah Khan tweeted: “On way to airport for the SLAM TOUR...Leaving 1 family behind to b with another..”


The promotional tour in the US for film 'Happy New Year' has already generated a lot of excitement not only among his Indian and South Asian fans but also native Americans. It is nearly after a decade that the 'Chennai Express' star is coming to the US to perform live.

Titled 'Slam' (sound, light, action and movie), the tour will also have performances by SRK's 'Happy New Year' co-stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachhan, Boman Irani besides Madhuri Dikshit, Malaika Arora Khan and singers Honey Singh, Kanika Kapoor.

Tickets for the grand city tours start from Rs4000 and go all the way to Rs32,000 for the best seats in the arena. Like most Shah Rukh Khan world tours, tickets have been selling a very fast pace.

The schedule of the tour is Houston (September 19), New Jersey (September 20), Washington DC (September 21), Chicago (September 26) and San Jose in California (September 28). They will also travel to Vancouver in Canada on September 27.
