He headed straight from the airport tp Bijapur state guest house where he has been residing since being sworn-in as the Chief Minister in February this year.
Earlier, Rawat's media incharge Surendra Kumar said, "Though the chief minister has been discharged and declared fit to resume his routine official duties, he will have to take precautions for some more time like avoiding jerks and overstraining himself."
Rawat has been discharged from hospital just in time as he is contesting by-polls from Dharchula seat on July 21 to seek entry into the state Assembly within the stipulated six-month period after he was appointed as the chief minister.
