Mumbai: Passengers of a Delhi-bound SpiceJet flight had a harrowing time when their flight was delayed by almost four hours and were later told by the airline that they cannot fly to their destination as there were no flight operations from the city airport between 12 am and 4 am on Sunday.

"The SpiceJet flight SG 136 from Mumbai to Delhi was scheduled to take off at 8.15 pm. However, later the flight was rescheduled for 12 am due to a technical snag in the aircraft that was to come from Delhi," a passenger said.

However, the airline once again informed the passenger that it would not be flying to Delhi as there was no flight operations from the domestic airport between 12 am and 4 am," the passenger said adding that the airline agreed to refund the ticket amount to the passengers.

When contacted, SpiceJet officials were not available for comment.
