It will be organized in district Jhajjar on January 19.
Talking on this issue in Chandigarh, a spokesman of Agriculture Department said that those districts which would be awarded included Panipat for highest sugarcane productivity, Sirsa in wheat and cotton, Gurgaon in Bajra, Kurukshetra in rice and Rewari in mustard productivity.
The spokesman said that district Sirsa has achieved wheat productivity of 48.42 quintal per hectare and 7.68 quintals of cotton per hectare.
District Rewari has achieved mustard production of 21.57 quintals per hectare, district Kurukshetra has achieved rice production of 43.01 quintals per hectare, district Gurgaon has achieved bajra production of 22.35 quintals per hectare and district Panipat has achieved sugarcane production of 923.85 quintals per hectare.
He said that the progressive villages at district level would be awarded with a cash award of Rs 10 lakh each.
He also said that the progressive farmers at district level would also be honoured with a cash prize of Rs 50,000 each.
