Chandigarh: While bearing public health in mind Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has said that the state government aims at bringing the entire society under health policy cover.

On this occasion Hooda conferred Haryana Vigyan Ratna and Haryana Yuva Vigyan Ratna Awards 2010-11 upon four eminent scientists of the State for their outstanding contribution in the field of Science and Technology in an impressive programme organized at Haryana Niwas here on Wednesday.

He further said that health is an invaluable asset of human being and every person irrespective of his age should take care of his health.

Chief Minister Hooda said that safeguarding the health of public is the main intention of the government He further said that it was the dream of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi that India becomes the no1 nation in science and technology in the world.

He said that acting upon Gandhi’s policies the state government is encouraging science and technology in the state .While speaking to agriculture scientists he asked them to adopt vertical farming on the lines of Israel. He also stressed upon the need to fill the gap between laboratory farming and field farming and exhorted the people to adopt vertical farming.

Hooda stressed upon the need of setting up laboratories in schools and colleges of the state. On this occasion Minister Science and Technology, Haryana government Randeep Singh Surjewala said that youth of the state are getting attracted towards Science and Technology.

Heaping praise on scientists, he said that they play a vital role in upgrading the life of people .Among those who were present on the occasion included MLA Aftab Ahmad, PK Das Finance Secretary Science and Technology, Haryana government and Vineet Garg including many others related to the field.
