Greater Noida: In a sharp contrast of Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi’s high words for the Haryana Land Acquisition Policy, farmers took out a rally to protest land policy of the Congress government in state.

Dozens of Haryana farmers under three different committees reached Bhatta Parsaul village on Sunday to share their grievances with the farmers of Uttar Pradesh.

They unanimously said the Land Acquisition Policy which is so much appreciated by Rahul Gandhi has deceived farmers.

The farmers shouted anti-government slogans and carried posters against the Congress, Rahul Gandhi and the land Acquisition Policy. They also visited several other villages like Mirzapur and Chachula in order to make them aware that the market price of their land in Haryana is much higher.

Notably, despite regular efforts, the Haryana government could not get the possession of the farmers’ land which was forcibly acquired at a rate of Rs 16 lakh per acre.

The Haryana farmers appealed the UP farmers to support them in their protest against the Land Acquisition Policy of the state.
