Pinangwan: In a bid to develop educational infrastructure in Mewat district, the Haryana government has approved Rs 50 crore for building nine new colleges.

The government would lay emphasis on developing technical education. Keeping this in view, three ITI and three polytechnique along with three regular colleges would be set up.

Rs 12.50 crore have been allocated for constructing the building of each regular college whereas Rs 5 crore has been estimated for each ITI college building.

In a conversation with Dainik Jagran, Mewat Deputy Commissioner Balraj Singh said polytechnique colleges would be opened in villages --Indari, Malab and Revasan-- which would boost technical education enhancing opportunity of self employment for the youths.

Singh said that three ITIs would be opened in Punhana, Pinangwan and Tavadu village.

Remarkably, 50 percent seats have been reserved for the students of Mewat in all the nine colleges which would be set up.
