Chandigarh: The Haryana government has constituted District Development and Monitoring Committees to ensure proper and timely utilisation of district plan funds in the state.
The state government has also fixed sectoral allocation for spending district plan funds under different sectors for the current fiscal, an official spokesman said on Wednesday.

Each DDMC would be chaired by the Minister heading the District Public Relations and Grievances Committee in the district concerned, he said.

The spokesman added that Deputy Commissioner of each district would be the vice-chairman of the committee and would chair the DDMC meeting in the absence of chairman, he said.

MPs, MLAs, Mayors, Deputy Mayors and panchayat members and public representatives of local urban bodies will be the members of each DDMC, the spokesman said.
