"To bring more transparency and fairness in the process of recruitment by Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC), it has been decided that interview marks weightage will be 12 percent of the total marks and written exam shall be of 88 percent weightage of the total marks," an official release issued on Saturday said.

Earlier, the weightage merited to interview marks was between 20-25 percent.

It has been further decided that the written exam will be divided into two parts in which 75 percent of the test will comprise general awareness, reasoning, maths, science, English, Hindi.

The remaining 25 percent will include history, current affairs, literature, geography, civics, environment, culture, etc of Haryana, an official spokesperson said.

Before coming to power, Bharatiya Janata Party had promised to bring transparency and fairness to the recruitment process in government employment.
