Kurukshetra: Slamming the Haryana government for the Land Acquisition Policy, former Chief Minister and INLD supremo Om Prakash Chautala has categorically said the government's land policy is misleading farmers.

Addressing a state executive meeting of the party, Chautala said that in order to study the Center’s proposed Land Acquisition Policy, a five-member committee will be formed to apprise the Centre of the INLD’s stand on the Land Acquisition Policy for other states.

The five-member committee would include Dr Ajay Chautala, Gopichand Gehlot, Nishan Shah Kamboj, BD Daliya and RS Chowdhary, he added.

Chautala said the committee after studying the Supreme Court’s decision on the land row in Noida Extension and Greater Noida would seek legal opinion for filing a petition in the Apex Court against the land scam in Haryana during the regime of the Hooda government.

Chautala also criticized the Centre for allowing multi-national company like Wall Mart to enter the Indian market as it will jeopardize the existence of small shops.

Among others INLD state president Ashok Arora, Principal Secretary Dr Ajay Chautala, Abhay Chautala, Ranbir Prajapat and Subhash Goyal were also present in the meeting.
