Gurgaon:  An Inspector General ranked police officer of Haryana, Manjeet Singh Ahlawat died after falling from the fourth floor of a multi storied building. He went to the building to meet someone.

However, the police team is yet to establish the fact whether the IPS rank police official committed suicide, fell accidentally or was murdered. Though several questions and suspicions arose after his death under the mysterious circumstances, but the police team later concluded that it was a mishap.

Considering it an accident and acting under section 174 of CrPC ,police handed his dead body to his family members after THE postmortem.

52-year old Ahlawat was posted as Director, Recruitment Training Centre at Bhondsi.

In his cremation ceremony those among present included Haryana Vidhan Sabha speaker Kuldeep Sharma, Haryana Minister of State for Sports, Sukhbir Kataria, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Dharamvir Singh, Commissioner of PoliceS S Deswal, Joint Commissioner of Police Alok Mittal and other senior police officials.
