New Delhi: Praising his former colleague, Haryana Minister for Labour and Employment Shiv Charan Sharma said, "It's not a big case against Gopal Kanda. He just got himself a servant by mistake."

Chief Parliamentary Secretary and Fatehabad MLA Prahalad Singh, who was also present at the event, said that he is sure that the rumours against Kanda would soon die down.

"It's just bad time for my brother Gopal Kanda. But very soon he will be proved innocent and these rumours will die on their own," he said. The celebrations were also marked by a hawan and a health camp.

Twenty-three-year-old Geetika was found dead on August 5 last year at her Delhi residence. In one of her suicide notes, she had said that she was committing suicide due to ‘harassment’ by Kanda and his aide Aruna Chaddha, co-accused in the case.
