Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda announced that a National Law University would soon be set up in the state.

While making this announcement in a meeting of State Higher Education Council on Thursday, Hooda said the National Law University will be set up at Kundli based Rajiv Gandhi Education City in Sonipat.

The University will promote research and provide the facilities for advanced studies in all branches of law, the Chief Minister added.

It was also decided during the meeting that an inter-university association would be formed to discuss academic and other issues.

Apart from this, the association will also raise concerns about syllabus, academic calendars, examination papers, examination schedules and declaration of results, sources said.
