The film collected Rs 57 lakhs on Friday, while it minted Rs 65 lakhs on Saturday. On Sunday, the the box office collection witnessed a rise and the film raked in Rs 1.05 crore, making the total collection Rs 2.27 crore in the opening weekend.

Presented by Reliance Entertainment, 'Hawaizaada' is set in 1895 and inspired from the life and works of Shivkar Talpade essayed by Ayushmann, who flew the first ever unmanned plane eight years before the Wright Brothers.

Directed by Vibhu Puri, 'Hawaizaada' also features Mithun Chakraborty in key roles. The film released on January 30, 2015.

'Khamoshiyan' starring Sapna Pabbi, Ali Fazal and Gurmeet Choudhary has fared better than 'Hawaizaada' and minted Rs 4.13 crores at the domestic box office.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar starrer Baby continues to dominate box office, with it latest collection being Rs 70 crore.
