Jammu: The Hindu Coordination Committee of Jammu and Kashmir performed hawan (religious offering) on Thursday in order to draw attention of the Omar Abdullah government on the conservation of temples and religious sites in the state.

The hawan also aims at speedy recovery of Migrants Coordination Committee Chairman Vinod Pandit and Jammu Rural Foundation head Sunita Sharma who are on fast against the lackadaisical attitude of the government towards conservation of the temples.

Hawan also aims at apprising the government of deteriorating condition of people sitting on the protest.

The organizers said the protest entered in seventh day, but the Omar Abdullah government is not heeding attention to them.
