Hoshiarpur: Accepting the petition on the alleged scam in recruitment of lady Constables, Punjab-Haryana High Court has ordered Home Minister of Punjab, DGP of Punjab, Chairman of Lady Constable Recruitment board to submit their reply by July 18.

Applicants for the post of lady Constables, Harkhowal resident Mandeep Kaur, Bhunga resident Sandip Kaur, and Tarantaran resident Jajbir Kaur and Sukhwinder Singh filed their petition before the bench of Justice Suraj Kant and submitted 47 CDs containing details of the scam.

Taking all the documents and CD footage in account, Court has instructed State Home minister and other concerned authorities to submit their reply by July 18.

It is noteworthy, that the petitioners had filed a Right to Information (RTI) in the alleged scam in lady constable's recruitment on July 10. In response to the RTI, the department provided them 47 CDs, which revealed the gross irregularities in the selection process mainly in the test for long jump and high jump.

In addition, an ex-servicemen was recruited under the quota allotted for Schedule Caste and Backward Caste.
