The bench of Justice RR Prasad revoked the stay order it had given after Soren petitioned against a lower court's order for her arrest and property attachment last year. The CBI is investigating the case where Sita is one of the accused. CBI has raided the premises of at least 23 MLAs of different political parties in connection with the case.
The agency registered the case on the direction of the high court after the police and the Income Tax Department sleuths recovered Rs 2.15 crore in cash from a car allegedly belonging to kin of independent candidate and Jamshedpur-based industrialist R K Agarwal on March 30, 2012, forcing the Election Commission of India to countermand the elections before holding them afresh.

In a related case, Sita is also facing charges of kidnapping her private secretary Vikas Pandey, an alleged witness in the horse trading case, in Ranchi on December 24, 2012.
Pandey's wife Reena, who had lodged the FIR against Sita under section 363 (kidnapping) of the IPC with the Argora police station, on Friday filed a criminal writ in the court of Justice D N Upadhyay seeking progress of the investigation.

The court asked the Ranchi Police to submit an updated probe report within two weeks, failing which the district police chief should appear before it. Sita is the widow of JMM chief Shibu Soren's son Durga and represents the Assembly from Jama constituency.
