Greater Noida: Despite the amicable deal struck between the GNIDA and the farmers of Patbari village, the investors and builders of the upcoming housing societies are waiting with bated breath for August 17, the day when the Allahabad High Court will hear about a dozen petition filed by several villages of Noida Extension.

Farmers of Bisrakh, Roza Yakubpur, Habaitpur, Itera, Amnabad, Khairpur, Gurjar, Saini, Devla, Junpat, Ghori bachhera have filed petition against the land acquisition compensation given by the Greater Noida Development Authority.

The land was acquired in these villages by using the urgency clause in line with Saberi and Patbari. The plots have been allotted to about 36 builders for developing group housing societies on the acquired land. 

Investors Ashu Sharma and Ranjit Mishra said, “If the court cancels the land acquired in these villages, it will adversely affect the builders.”  

Meanwhile, Rajpal Bhati of Bisrakh village said the talks with the GNIDA will be resumed after the August 17 hearing.
