New Delhi: In a bid to spread awareness on various health related issue, the Union Heath Ministry is going to launch a special Mission ‘Healthy India’ next month. As per the plans, the awareness programmes on various health related issues will be spread across the country through 30 regional centers of Doordarshan and 28 Akashwani centers.

According to the ministry, this programme is first of its kind. In this regard, the ministry has made extensive arrangements.   

In a view to launch the drive more effectively, the ministry has consulted both the government and non-government agencies.    

As per the plan more stress would be given on the ‘Mother-Child’ pprogrammes. Besides, information on precautions and prevention of various communicable diseases will also be given to the people.
