Washington: A healthy bilateral relationship between India and US is a win-win situation for both the countries, the White House has said.

"I think that the importance of our bilateral relations with India, our economic co operations with India, cannot be overstated," White House Press Secretary, Jay Carney told reporters at a news conference.

"For the sake of our economy and for India's economy – a healthy, bilateral relationship will mean more jobs here and more jobs there, and I think that remains the case as much today as it was when the President visited," Carney said.

US President Barack Obama had visited India in November last year.
