Traffic was crawling in most parts of the sprawling city due to water-logging and inundation. Long lines of vehicles were moving at snail's pace at several road crossings, according to the traffic police, a senior traffic police officer told reporters that water-logging caused severe traffic snarls near Moti Bagh, Chirag Delhi, Dhaula Kuan, Lodhi Road to Defence Colony flyover, Mayapuri, from Mayapuri to Naraina, Raja Garden Chowk, Moti Nagar¬-Karampura crossing, and Bahadurgarh.

"I started from my home in Kalkaji around 9 a.m. and reached my office in Gurgaon's Udyog Vihar around 11.25 a.m., taking more than two hours due to massive jams near C.R. Park and Munirka due to water-logging. It usually takes just an hour to reach my office," Sweta Kumari, an IT professional, told reporters.
