Bhopal: Normal life in the city was thrown out of gear last evening following heavy rains accompanied by strong winds which led to uprooting of several trees in the city.

The power supply was disrupted in almost all parts of the city for 1-7 hours.

A rainfall of 52.0 mm was recorded yesterday even as winds swept the city with a speed of 90 km/hr, Met office said.

There were traffic jams in many parts of the city where several billboards were uprooted.
