Itanagar, Jan 19 (Agencies): Heavy snowfall has disrupted life in several parts of Arunachal Pradesh including the administrative district of Tawang.
    
Besides Tawang, other areas affected by snowfall for the past several days include West Kameng, West Siang and Lower Dibang Valley districts.
   
"Around several feet of snow covered the entire Tawang township since yesterday, disrupting surface communication,water supply,power and telephone connectivity," Information
and Public Relations Director Leki Phuntso said.

A number of tourists were stranded at Tawang and also at Dirang in West Kameng district following unpliable roads at Jung and Sella Pass at an altitude of 14,000 feet due to heavy snowfall, he said.
    
Snowfall was also recorded in the entire stretch of the Bomdila-Tawang road.
    
The Border Road Organisation, which has already pressed its men into service, said it would take at least two days to clear the snow from the road.

Several feet of snowfall was also recorded at Mechuka in West Siang district during the last couple of days.
    
Anini, the headquarters of Dibang Valley district has also witnessed heavy snowfall since last week.
