New Delhi: A Delhi court while hearing a road accident case has directed that companies as well the government should ensure that special CCTV cameras or high tech speed meters are installed in the heavy vehicles during production so that justice can be delivered appropriately to the victims.

Additional Sessions Judge Narendra Kumar directing the Delhi government and vehicle production companies said the CCTVs would easily disclose the condition and speed of heavy vehicles at the time of accident.

The court also rejected the bus driver’s plea in which he appealed for reducing his punishment. The accused bus driver Ramesh Kumar Katyal is a resident of North Delhi.

In year 1995, a scooter driver named Dinesh Suri was killed when a bus banged his scooter.

Notably, in Delhi the most prominent cause of deaths is road accidents and generally in such cases the drivers of heavy vehicles are convicted.
