Amritsar: The BSF seized heroin, worth Rs 170 crore in the international market, and ammunition pushed into the Indian Territory from Pakistan at Border Out Post (BOP) Kotraza in the Ajnala sector, officials said.
Thirty-four packets of heroin, one automatic pistol magazine and eight rounds were seized at BOP Kotraza, BSF officials said.
On specific inputs about the smuggling of drugs through the BOP Kotraza, vigil was enhanced in area, they said.
In the morning hours, the BSF personnel observed suspicious movement from Pakistan side near the BOP, officials said adding, the drugs and ammunition were seized in the search operation.
