Here are the key points of the India-Africa Forum Summit that you must know:

1. India offered USD 10 billion concessional credit to Africa over five years. An additional grant of USD 600 million, including USD 100 million for India-Africa Development Fund, India-Africa Health Fund of USD 10 million and 50,000 scholarships in India over five years were sanctioned.

2. India and Africa resolved to work together to bring reforms in the UNSC to make it more regionally representative, democratic, accountable and effective said a Framework Agreement on Strategic Cooperation.

3. PM Modi promised high priority to India-Africa trade. Thirty four African countries get duty free access to the Indian market.

4. Better scholarship programmes and supportive atmosphere to African students studying in India.

5. India pledged to help African agriculture sector. India is creating 100 capacity building institutions, developing infrastructure, public transport, clean energy, irrigation, agriculture and manufacturing capacity across Africa.

6. The Pan-African-e-Network, an idea of former President APJ Abdul Kalam has been a boost for Africa. It helps universities and health institutions across 48 African countries to connect with Indian cities for professional advice and training.

7. PM Modi  invited African nations to join an alliance of solar rich countries that India has proposed to launch in Paris during COP-21 meeting. India looks forward to a genuine global public partnership that makes clean energy affordable.

8. India wishes to deepen its cooperation in maritime security and hydrology and countering terrorism and extremism. India put forward the idea of UN Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism and promised to support Africa Union's peacekeeping efforts.
