Kangra: Launching a campaign against Baba Ramdev, the Himachal Pradesh Congress committee has asked the state government to take back the land allotted to the Yoga Guru.

Two senior Congress leaders including Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Virbhadra Singh and party’s state president Kaul Singh held separate press briefings on Saturday to target the BJP state government and Baba Ramdev.

Virbhadra said, “The allotment to Ramdev should be cancelled immediately.” He asserted that the state government should take back the land. He further added, “In our democracy, a person has the freedom of express, therefore Baba Ramdev should raise the issue in a constitutional manner.”

Virbhadra maintained that eradication of corruption is included in the manifesto of Congress. “Our party is making best possible efforts to get rid of corruption and bring back the black money stashed in foreign banks,” he added.

Meanwhile, interacting with reporters at Dharmashala, Kaul Singh said state government should take back the land allocated to Ramdev at Solan.

He said if the Congress comes to power in the state, it will cancel the contract paper of the land allotted to Baba Ramdev.
