Rampur Bushahr: The Rampur unit of Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Thursday blocked the main state highways near the old bus stand for one and a half hour to protest against the FDI in multi-retail.

The party workers courted arrest against the hike in diesel price, limiting the number of subsidies cylinders to six annually and introduction of FDI in retail sector.

The party secretary, Bihari Sewagi slammed Central Government for its decisions and demanded that the restrictions of subsidies cylinders be imposed only on the ‘Rich’ people.

He also added that the government’s decision of hike in diesel prices has hampered the economy of the nation. It’s not easy for the people to survive in such an inflating economy said the left leader.

Sewagi said that nearly five crore people will be affected if FDI is implemented in retail sector.
